Book a Newcastle or Maitland walk in about ninety seconds.

No enquiry forms. No waiting for a reply. Private dog walking and pet home visits across Maitland, the Hunter Valley and selected Newcastle suburbs — Merewether, Bar Beach, The Junction and neighbours included. Check your suburb, pick a time that's genuinely free, pay, and it's locked in.

Where we walk, and when

We run routes rather than a scattergun map, so dogs get proper time on the lead instead of us sitting in traffic. Here's how the week actually looks.

Tuesdays

Newcastle walk day

Our Newcastle route covers Merewether, Merewether Heights, Bar Beach, The Junction, Cooks Hill, The Hill, Newcastle East and Hamilton South, plus New Lambton, Adamstown, Hamilton, Lambton, Mayfield and the inner-city pockets around them. Beach-adjacent suburbs get the good sniffy loops.

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays

Maitland & Hunter Valley

Maitland, East Maitland, Lorn, Bolwarra, Morpeth, Rutherford, Telarah, Thornton, Metford, Ashtonfield, Lochinvar and out through Cessnock, Lovedale, Pokolbin and Branxton. This is home turf, so most weeks there's room to be flexible.

First — where are they?

What a home visit actually includes

Pawloma Home Visits are pet check-ins at your place across Newcastle, Maitland and the Hunter Valley — dogs, cats and other suitable household or property animals, from a cat who needs feeding to chooks who need topping up while you're away.

  • 🐾 Feeding and fresh water
  • 🐾 Toilet break and a proper stretch
  • 🐾 A basic health and happiness check
  • 🐾 Straightforward, pre-disclosed medication
  • 🐾 Pets brought safely inside or out, as instructed
  • 🐾 Quick litter or tray tidy
  • 🐾 Checking every pet in the household — dogs, cats, horses, birds and the rest

And what it doesn't

We'd rather be clear now than apologetic later.

  • · Veterinary or nursing care, injections or drips
  • · Overnight stays (that's our Overnight Care service)
  • · Grooming, training or behavioural rehab
  • · Handling animals with known aggression or a bite history
  • · House cleaning, gardening or maintenance

The questions everyone asks

How fast is a booking actually confirmed?

Instantly. The times you see are checked against our live Pawloma calendar and existing bookings, so once your payment goes through the spot is yours — no 'we'll get back to you'.

Do I need to be a Pawloma Family member?

No. Walks and home visits are open to everyone in our service areas. Membership only matters for overnight care.

Is it a group walk?

Never. One household at a time, one walker, no random dogs bundled in. If you've booked extra pets from your own home, they walk together.

What if my dog is reactive or has bitten someone?

Tell us in the booking form. Those requests stop the automated flow: no payment is taken, and a real person reviews it and talks it through with you honestly.

What happens on a home visit?

Feeding, fresh water, a toilet break and stretch, a health and happiness check, simple pre-disclosed medication, litter tidy, and a note on how everyone was.

Do you walk dogs in Merewether and around Newcastle?

Yes. Merewether, Merewether Heights, Bar Beach, The Junction, Cooks Hill, The Hill, Newcastle East, Hamilton South and New Lambton are all on our Newcastle route day, along with the inner-city suburbs nearby. Pop your postcode in the booking form and it'll confirm instantly.

Can you feed my cat while we're away?

Yes — home visits cover cats, dogs and other suitable household or property animals in Newcastle, Maitland and the Hunter Valley. Feeding, fresh water, litter tidy, a proper look at how they're doing, and a note back to you.

Can I get photos?

Yes — add Puparazzi. You get 5–8 edited photos plus a short vertical video from their walk.
